Julie Chan Bio:
Julie Chan is a social entrepreneur, creative artist, and intuitive purpose coach who believes that every single person has a higher purpose — gifts they want to share, lessons they want to learn, and experiences they want to have in service to humanity.
After a series of spiritual experiences that changed her view of the world, Julie recently “came out” with intuitive (psychic) abilities. In 2015, she launched Being My Purpose, a social enterprise whose mission is to empower executives and entrepreneurs to know and express their life purpose with courage and creativity. Julie uses her intuitive connection with people, her decade-long career in economic development and education, and lessons she’s learned from her own life and from her 100+ global clients to empower people to lead inspired and creative lives. A portion of proceeds funds programs that makes mindfulness, meditation, yoga and healing arts accessible to youth and adults in need.
Prior to starting her company, Julie worked in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors leading strategy and initiative implementation that improved lives, businesses, and cities. These initiatives spanned industries ranging from biotech, health tech, to entrepreneurship education and real estate. She was previously Assistant Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, co-founder of Crosby Street Gallery, among other roles, and is passionate about the intersection of creative arts, physical space, communities, and spirituality.
She holds a BA from Yale University and a Master’s degree from MIT. She was a 2016 fellow at Revive the Dream Institute, which catalyzes leaders in education reform who are committed to improving education for underprivileged youth.
